Dreamer's Bonfire at Mission Bay - Summer Kick-Off Event

Here you will find the complete description of our evening, in 3 parts:

1) The contents of our Dream Teachings, to be held under the gazebo, in the grassy area.

2) The unfolding of the Dream Event, to be held around the bonfire on the beach.

Dream Teachings at 06:40pm:

AWAKENING TO YOUR DREAMS!

If it is true that all our answers are within ourselves, nowhere it is more obvious than in our dreams. Through them, we can tap into the eternal wisdom of the soul, and connect with our own voice, our own inner guidance, our own original path.
During the course of this interactive lecture, we wish to remind ourselves of what we, deep inside, already know: that dreams are filled with meaningful messages and inspirational images, and that their purpose is to help us achieve greater awareness, wholeness and health, find creative solutions to our life dilemmas, and discover the truth about ourselves.
We will review simple but efficient techniques to recall our dreams, and briefly talk about the importance of keeping even a sketchy dream journal as the starting point of this process.
Ultimately, we want this lecture to stimulate and send a clear message to our unconscious that we are now ready to receive all these important dreams, those which were only waiting for this moment to appear, and get started on this wonderful journey of self-realization.

Dream Event at 08:00pm:

Centering Ritual:
To the sound of live drumming, each one can let go of his/her own mental chatter and help create our sacred circle with an open mind and a free spirit. (5 min.)

Group Guidelines:
Introduced by the host/facilitator (5 min.)

First Dream:
A willing dreamer shares his/her dream
(5 min.)

Group on the dream:
Questions to the dreamer and sharing of impressions: If it was my dream (10 min.)

Host/facilitator on the dream:
The host/facilitator proposes an interpretation/analysis method to work with the dream (10 min.)

First dreamer de/briefing:
The dreamer concludes the session with his/her comments (5 min.)

Time off:
To the sound of live drumming, the group is invited to participate in a guided exercice/exploration/experience of a dream-like state of conciousness
(10 min.)

Second dream:
A willing dreamer shares his/her dream
(5 min.)

Group on the dream:
Questions to the dreamer and sharing of impressions: If it was my dream (10 min.)

Host/facilitator:
The host/facilitator proposes an interpretation/analysis method to work with the dream (10 min.)

Second dreamer de/briefing:
The dreamer concludes the session with his/her comments (5 min.)

Group de/briefing:
Members of the group conclude the evening with their comments (5 min.)

Centering Ritual:
To the sound of live drumming, each one can, in silence, express gratitude for gifts received by past or actual dreams, their own or those of others, and formulate personal intent for dreams to come. (5 min.)

End/Break: (5 min.)

Sea World Fireworks: (10 min.)

Detailed schedule & important Info about this evening:

From 5:30 PM:
If you can make it early, we will be there, so that everyone is given a chance to get to meet with others. There are tables in the grassy area next to the beach, so bring your own food & refreshments if you want to.
A cold bottle of water will be available for each one, free of charge.
Glass containers are prohibited & alcohol consumption is under a 24 hour ban in the parking(s), as well as the grassy & beach areas of all of Mission Bay.
We love dogs & kids but leave them at home.

At 6:30 PM:
ARRIVAL TIME FOR EVERYONE

At 6:40 PM:
One hour Dream Class on the grass, by the bay.

At 7:40 PM:
Bring your own folding chair or blanket around the fire ring on the beach.

At 8:00 PM: Bonfire Dream Event starts
DO NOT SHOW UP AFTER 8:00 PM

At 9:40 PM: Bonfire Dream Event ends

At 9:50 PM: SeaWorld Fireworks

At 10 PM: End of Fireworks

Our location is on a secluded beach around Mission Bay and only members who have RSVP'd with a Yes will receive, prior to the event, map, directions, and the cellular phone numbers of members to call at anytime before 8:00 PM on the day of the event.

Last but not least, bring your dream journal or a written dream that you may want to share with the group!
